The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance; a spiritually uplifting place which honours the fallen, recognises service and sacrifice, and fosters pride in our country. It is a living and lasting memorial.
The Remembrance Centre at the National Memorial Arboretum has been awarded an Royal Institute of British Architecture National Award. It is the only project in the West Midlands region to have been honoured and is now on the long-list for the Stirling Prize – the most prestigious architecture award in the UK. The judges commented: “The project leaves an imposing but not intimidating impression. Every member of the judging panel was visibly moved.”
