Our Worktop Fabrication

The creation of the template and the allocation of slabs to the saw beds begin after it has been taken. Slabs are collected from stock and loaded into the saw beds for examination for quality assurance.

After inspection, the slabs are then cut to size. Only cutting-edge CNC technology is used to create your work surface, which is capable of processing up to 3m long.

The process begins with measuring the area to be tiled, after which the initial pencil lines are drawn on the surface. Once the layout has been sketched out then a laser level can be used to transfer these measurements onto straight edges.

If there are any irregularities in your surfaces that could affect cutting, you will be informed at this stage.

What Happens Next?

Next, the cutting line is traced using two different types of track saws to ensure stability. Stones are then cut using the water-cooled abrasive blade which can make angles up to 45 degrees.

Depending on your design preferences makes it possible for you to see what you are working with while the worktop is being fabricated. This leaves you free to experiment with colours, patterns, and textures so the final piece will be exactly what you want.

The CNC machine is then used for making holes along the cutting line which are then chiselled into your design according to your specifications.

You can also opt for an alternative layout instead of this process if you so wish. After this stage, the worktop is lifted from its supporting base and placed on a flatbed truck for transport to your new site.

Once the manufacturing process is complete, the granite worktops are treated with a Dry-Treat sealer, then the finished product receives a quality control inspection before leaving the premises to ensure compatibility and specification compliance.

After these checks, the worktops are carefully loaded onto one of our vans ready for installation.
