What is Dekton?
Dekton is an engineered stone by Cosentino that contains a mixture of raw materials that are used to manufacture glass, porcelain materials and quartz surfaces. Dekton can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Dekton is the most scratch-resistant surface on the market, although the use of chopping boards is still recommended. Properties include its high resistance to UV light, meaning Dekton will not fade or degrade over time, it is completely stain proof and has low porosity, containing no resins which also makes it chemical resistant. Dekton can withstand high temperatures without burning, cracking or scorching as hot pans can be placed directly onto its surface without leaving a mark.
It is low maintenance and easy to clean with soap and water, and never needs to be re-surfaced or re-finished.
